Turkey flies into windshield causing wreck in Reno County

RENO COUNTY, Kansas — Authorities in Reno County responding to a minor injury accident early Monday morning.

According to the Reno County Sheriff’s Department, 65-year-old David Miller from Larned was driving his 2012 Ford SUV eastbound on Highway 50 when a turkey flew into his windshield.

The turkey went through the windshield and landed on Miller’s lap.  The turkey then over to the lap of his passenger.

Miller was treated at the scene for minor cuts and glass in his eyes.

His passenger was not injured.

The turkey did not survive the crash.
