WICHITA, Kansas — Wichita police responded to a disturbance Monday afternoon in the 1000 block of North Pinecrest.

Police say they saw the female suspect get into a car to leave. One officer reached into her car to grab the keys and she sped away, almost dragging the officer.

Police pursued the suspect in a chase, but then called it off.

The woman kept going and crashed into another vehicle at Rock Road and Rockhill, across from Bradley Fair at 21st and Rock Road.

One person in the other vehicle suffered minor injuries.

The suspect ran off on foot and officers are still looking for her. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
