One dead, three injured in southeast Kansas crash

CRAWFORD COUNTY, Kansas — One man was killed, and three others injured after a crash in Crawford County, the Kansas Highway Patrol said Saturday.

59-year-old Richard Sigg of Iola, was killed when he failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of 590th Avenue and Highway 7, just south of Girard, and was struck by a pickup truck, according to reports.

Sigg was pronounced dead at the scene. His two passengers were rushed to local hospitals in critical condition.

The driver of the pickup truck was also taken to the hospital.
