WICHITA, Kansas — Severe thunderstorms are possible across portions of Kansas tonight with even better chances on Wednesday. The primary threat will be large hail from elevated thunderstorms, but on Wednesday, just along and north of a warm front near the Oklahoma line southeast of Wichita, a tornado cannot be ruled out.
After the storm chances exit, record-cold air will spill in bringing a chance of a wintry mix statewide on Thursday. Thursday night could see a hard freeze statewide, so precautions will want to be taken for tender vegetation.
Temperatures warm back to the 60s again over the weekend, but another front on Monday will cool things down again with another chance of some showers and storms.
