Freezing temperatures and rain causing problems across Kansas

SALINA, Kansas — Reports are now coming in that ice is starting to build and bring down powerlines and tree limbs in the Salina area.

So far about a quarter of an inch of ice has accumulated due to freezing rain.

There are totals of that amount and more across Central Kansas, including the Wichita area.

Be sure to drive safe as bridges and overpasses are already getting icy, other roads could start gathering ice as well.

More weather information is available on the weather page and on Kansas Today.
