WICHITA, Kansas — Big Brothers Big Sisters largest fundraiser is in full swing. Bowl for Kids Sake helps offset the cost of finding matches for hundreds of Littles each year. One of those is 9-year-old Jordan.
Jordan spent time shooting hoops with KSN anchor Mark Davidson recently.
“I thought K-State was going to win the finals,” said Jordan.
And even though the Wildcats came up short, Jordan like so many was swept up in the March madness.
So, the new basketball courts at the downtown YMCA seemed like the perfect place to burn off a little energy.
Soccer may be Jordan’s favorite sport, but he has quite a knack for the game of hoops.
He was ready for a tough challenge when he faced Mark in a game of one-on-one. The first to make it to three won.
“One to nothing.”
Jordan jumped out to a two to one lead to win the game against Mark.
“Game over, you just won!”
When Mark asked about tips, Jordan said this.
“You could jog for a little bit and stop and then jump and shoot it.”
Humbled by Jordan’s answer Mark had one more surprise in store.
A cake for Jordan’s birthday.
