WICHITA, Kansas — It goes without saying in Kansas, if you don’t like the weather do not worry. It will change.

Mother nature threw a little bit of everything at the Sunflower State on Tuesday. Rain, swirling clouds, snow and icy temperatures.

KSN storm crews began the afternoon chasing thunderstorms rolling through the southern part of the state. No tornadoes, but there were some slight rotations outside Clearwater.

But the storms never threatened beyond that. And, temperatures in the 70s dropped as the storms gave way to much cooler temperatures. The drop plunged temperatures into the 50s in just minutes.

Now the metro area is looking at rain, freezing rain and even the chance for some snow.
