WICHITA, Kansas — The Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League announced Sunday that the first two dates have been confirmed for its upcoming series against the Fort Worth Brahmas in the CHL Semi-Finals.
Wichita will open up the best-of-seven series hosting Game 1 on Wednesday, April 10th at Intrust Bank Arena at 7:05 p.m.
The series is expected to follow a 2-2-1-1-1 format, but has not been finalized.
The remainder of the schedule will be announced either later today or in the coming days.
Wichita enters as the number two seed while Fort Worth finished as the three seed.
The two teams met in last year’s CHL Semi-Finals, with the Thunder winning in six games and advancing to the team’s first CHL Finals in 14 seasons.
The Thunder is coming off its second sweep in franchise history by knocking off the Arizona Sundogs, winning three of those games in overtime.
It was the most overtime games in a single series since 2009 when Odessa beat Laredo in six games with four of those contests going to extra time.
