Meade woman airlifted to Wichita after car accident Monday evening

MEADE, Kansas — A Meade woman has been airlifted to Wichita after a car accident Monday evening.

According to Kansas Highway Patrol, around 5 p.m., 44-year-old Laura Looney lost control of her car on a gravel road three miles southeast of Meade. The car slid into the ditch and rolled multiple times before coming to rest upside down.

Looney was flown to Via Christi in Wichita.

A child that was in the car also suffered injuries.
