Inmates display art at Statehouse

Inmate art on display

TOPEKA, Kansas — More than 50 pieces of artwork by Kansas prison inmates are on display at the Kansas Statehouse.

The works will be exhibited for a week on the second floor of the Statehouse rotunda.

It’s the second show of inmate art there in the past year and a half.

A spokesman for the Kansas Department of Corrections says the first exhibition drew many positive comments on the quality.
