ATLANTA, Georgia (KSN) — One day ahead of Wichita State’s game against Louisville in the Final Four, reality appears to be sinking in for the players.

Friday’s activities included a public workout inside the Georgia Dome, in front of excited fans and even some basketball greats.

“Before this we played at Staples center, I thought that was pretty amazing,” said Nick Wiggins,  Junior guard.  “But the Georgia Dome is for real man, this is crazy.”

For a team that appears to have genuinely enjoyed the tournament experience, every step of the way they have seemed relatively un-fazed.  But the Final Four has clearly changed the experience.

“First time ever playing on a stage, and playing in front of 75-thousand. So I mean it’s a great opportunity,” said Malcom Armstead,  Senior guard.

“Very remarkable being here, I’m thankful and just a really good trip and I’m soaking this in, as much of this as I can,” said Ron Baker, Freshman guard.

Even coach Gregg Marshall is getting in on the Final Four fever.

“I met Oscar Robertson, I met Bill Walton, Lucius Allen. I had already coached against Danny Manning, so I knew him, but all the greats of college basketball are here,” said Marshall.  “It’s like being a rock star —  you walk off the court and the fans are going crazy it’s just tremendous. ”

Now the team prepares for a once-in-a lifetime opportunity and a chance to prove the underdog can go all the way.
