Former Kansas trooper killed in Alaska helicopter crash

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — A former Kansas Highway Patrol trooper has died in a helicopter crash in Alaska.

Trooper Tage Toll became an Alaskan State Trooper in 2003.

He and a helicopter pilot rescued an injured snowmobiler Saturday night near Talkeetna.

They were taking the injured man to meet with an ambulance when their helicopter went down. There were no survivors.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

According to The Clay Center Dispatch, Toll’s parents are Doug and Maureen Toll of Clifton.

Toll, who was 40, leaves behind a wife and three children.
