WICHITA, Kansas — A woman and a child were both able to escape serious injury in a rollover accident Tuesday morning.

Wichita police say the driver was eastbound on Harry exiting on I-135 when she flipped over.

The car landed under the overpass on its top.

Traffic investigators say the roads were slick with recent rain, but they don’t know if that played a role in the wreck.

“One child was involved. They were seat belted in the vehicle which is very fortunate because the vehicle did overturn,” said Sgt. Kelly O’Brien, Wichita Police Department.

The woman was trapped in the car for a short time.

Both were treated for minor injuries.
