WICHITA, Kansas — As the Shockers played 13th seed La Salle, Wichita State fans gathered at Heroes Sports Bar & Grill to watch the action unfold.

Shocker fans grabbed their seats in downtown Wichita as early as 6 p.m., hours before the game even started. Many opted out of watching the game at home, to enjoy it with other WSU fans.

“Oh it’s more fun, more atmosphere, just excitement, excitement,” said Mary Lou Perkins, WSU fan.

The winner of tonight’s game goes on to the Elite 8 to play Ohio State.
