LOS ANGELES, California — Shocker fans are making their presence known on the West Coast.
They gathered for a pep rally Thursday afternoon at one of the fan hotels in Los Angeles.
They’re eager to cheer WSU to victory in the evening’s Sweet 16 game against La Salle.
“It’s fantastic, I mean our guys this year have played really hard,” said Brad Clothier, a WSU booster. “I think we’re all a little bit surprised, but we knew they had it in them as far as their ability and talent this year.”
Clothier thinks there were about 800 fans at the pep rally, held appropriately in the “Gold Room” of their hotel.
If the Shockers win the game against La Salle, it will be the first time the Shockers have advanced to the Elite 8 since 1981.
